Central Air Conditioning – For the Use in Offices and Homes

Posted by admin in Health Central

Central air conditioning will be a good answer when it comes to find the best AC for the use in offices and homes. This central AC is not only able to make things cool inside the building, but also can dehumidify the air. This way, the temperature may not be too hot and humid anymore. In fact, there two chief selections of the central AC; and these include split systems and cabinet-based units.

Split Systems

The split system is made up of two parts that includes an outdoor part that has condenser and compressor, and also an indoor part that comprises of the evaporated coil and furnace. As the name, an outdoor part is being installed outside the building; whereas an indoor part is mounted within a room.

For the comparison, the cabinet-based unit consists of only one chief unit (the cabinet) into which all of the air conditioning parts are installed. Such units are usually located on a window shelf and also very efficient and very small.

Nonetheless, there no doubts the fact that a central air conditioning unit functions more smoothly and effectively and also more efficiently than any ordinary room air conditioner. Additionally, the central AC can make quieter operations and greater convenience. As well, the electricity bills won’t be too expensive as these units are good energy savers.

In summary, once you have chosen a central AC; it means that you can use it in offices and in homes as well. This is because a central air conditioning could make the air become less humid and less hot through dehumidifying the air. So, if the room is getting too hot and humid; you can make anything become more comfortable and cool for you by installing a AC system.

A New Way to Shop For Air Conditioners

Posted by admin in Health Central

When the summer heat came in the past, first people suffered, then used hand fans and then mechanical fans. Finally some dear soul invented the air conditioner to keep us all nice and cool in the warmest weather. The first air conditioners were pretty bulky and expensive. You got the model the local store had and were happy to get it. Now there have been many advances in the air conditioning industry. You have a lot more choice in the method and type of air conditioners available. You have more places to purchase your air conditioners and much more information available to you.

Before you set foot out your door to purchase an air conditioner, do some home work on the computer. If you look under air conditioning on the net, you can find a wealth of information to help you get the unit that will best serve your needs. You can investigate all the different options in air conditioners and the companies that manufacture them. You can see how the different companies and models are rated by people who have used them. Some of the manufactures to choose from are Frigidaire, De’Longhi, Goodman, Mitsubishi, Trane, Amana, fujitsu and LG.

You have the choice of portable units, central air, split air, ductless, windowless and window units and wall mounted units. Air conitioners come in many different BTU’s ranging from 5,000 to 24,000. Btu’s are the international unit measuring energy and in air conditioners they are the heat an AC unit can remove from a room. The higher the number the bigger the unit and the more heat it can remove from a room, or bigger room it can cool. It is really important to measure your room and windows before you go to the retailer to purchase your unit. A good retailer will have the Energy Star chart showing how to match room sizes to unit sizes.

When you are shopping for your air conditioning unit, make sure you have the electrical service to run the unit. You need the correct outlet for the AC Unit plug. Small units work with a 115 volt out let, but larger units may need a dedicated circuit. The largest units need 230/208 volt circuits. Look for energy star rated units as they are environmentally friendly and energy saving. Do not be shy about asking the sales associate to help you get the right size unit for your home.

Why Having Your Existing HVAC Unit Serviced Or Buying a New One is a Great Idea

Posted by admin in Health Central

Having air conditioning was once considered a luxury in many areas but now is considered a necessity especially in warm climates that are only getting hotter. Global warming has changed the climate and temperatures all across the nation and most areas are warmer than they were just ten years ago. To combat the increasing temperatures, it is important to have your current HVAC system cleaned and maintained by a Fort Myers AC repair company or get your current one fixed and parts replaced by a Fort Myers AC replacement. It may also be a good idea to get a new air conditioning system for your savings, the environment and your health too.

If your home does not have central air conditioning installed in it it may be time to consider doing so. Many states that were once consistently cooler and never needed air conditioning are now feeling the heat, literally. Two examples are the mountainous states like Vermont and Colorado. As early as just ten years ago, many new homes were being built without central air conditioning because it seemed like something that would never be used. The temperatures rarely get out of the 70’s in the summer and the evening got quite cool and comfortable to sleep through. Now, it is quite common to have temperatures in the 90’s frequently in the summer and those homes are roasting with heat.

Another thing that is important to do would be to have your existing air conditioning unit serviced and cleaned every couple of years. The amount of money that service would cost would be saved in the following couple of years by how much more efficiently the unit would be and that would save on the energy bills. It will also help to prolong the life of your HVAC unit and this too will help you to save money in the long run.

Some air conditioning and heating units are so old that they are not very efficient and in addition to not keeping your house very comfortable it is costing you more money on the energy bill too. Currently, President Obama is offering a tax break if you replace your less efficient HVAC unit with one that has the energy star logo on it because they are also better for the environment. If you purchase a new more efficient system, not only will you save money and receive a bonus back but it is better for the environment too.

Many people with health problems, particularly those living in warmer climates should consider getting air conditioning and maybe a better heating system too for their health. A lot of people that are suffering from life long illnesses have a weaker immune system and get hot or cold more easily leading them to further illness. Neurological illnesses like multiple sclerosis are quite affected by extreme heat and when the people suffering from it get overheated, their symptoms get worse. Therefore having a air conditioner unit will keep people like this healthier.
